Works of art by 78 artists have been chosen for the 94th Toledo Area Artists Exhibition at the Toledo Museum of Art. Of the 642 works submitted, 96 were selected for the show.
The juried exhibition, which offers an eclectic mix
of works in a variety of media, is organized by the Museum with support from the Ohio Arts Council. The exhibition will be on display Feb. 1–April 14 in the Works on Paper Gallery. Admission to both the exhibition and the Museum is free.
The TAA exhibition is widely recognized as the most important juried show in this region. As one of the few regional exhibitions of its kind in the nation, it is also the longest running. This year eligibility was expanded to artists living within a 150-mile radius of the Museum. Previously only work by residents of seven counties in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan were eligible for consideration.
Artist Joe Fig and TMA Mellon Fellow Kate Nesin are serving as jurors for this year’s show.
